Howard on "The Journal Editorial Report"

The Journal Editorial Report, November 25, 2005

Appearing on PBS's The Journal Editorial Report, Common Good Chair Philip K. Howard discussed the impact that fear of litigation has on our society.

"There's very little respect for the rule of law anymore," Howard said. "[P]eople have lost their freedom to do what's right because if anybody has a disagreement with them, they could haul them into court, and they don't trust justice to defend them."

The Journal Report is a weekly news and discussion program hosted by Pulitzer-Prize winner Paul Gigot, editor of The Wall Street Journal's editorial page.
