Barringer discusses the inconsistency of juries in medical
malpractice trials, and the inability of the current system to adequately
compensate patients. The growing support for special health courts has spread
throughout the nation to include more than eighty of the “most prominent
leaders in American health care and law.” Health courts, Barringer emphatically
states, would restore reliability and trust to health care and ensure that
“medical justice will prevail.”
