On October 29, Common Good and the AEI-Brookings Joint Center for Regulatory Studies brought together experts in law, medicine and patient safety to examine the effects of litigation on health care.
Participants were nearly unanimous in their belief that our legal system is undermining both quality and availability of health care in America, and debated a new and more radical approach to achieving a reliable system that serves the common good.

"Building a New System of Medical Justice" is part of a continuing series co-hosted by Common Good, with the AEI-Brookings Joint Center for Regulatory Studies. Common Good is currently focusing on the intersection of health care and our legal system. Future events will address other areas, such as education, the role of judges and juries, and civil service.
