Directives of the Divisions of the New York City Department of Education Each division of the New York City Department of Education can issue its own directives. These directives are in addition to and separate from the Chancellor's Regulations. According to an assistant to the Chancellor we spoke to, the Chancellor's Regulations would supersede any directive issued by a division that is contrary to a Chancellor's Regulation. Here is a list of the divisions. Go to the Department of Education website to see the directives and forms, and for other guidance.
